Pushchairs
Pushchairs can be transported on both chairlifts. Our lift staff will help you get on and off. The panoramic circular route around the summit is suitable for pushchairs. (Note: The panoramic circular trail can only be used during the summer season)
Toilets
You will find toilets:
Directly at the valley station (also barrier-free) or right next door in the inn "Zum Sessellift" (not barrier-free). At the middle station in s'Balzplatzerl (not barrier-free). At the summit in the Terzerhaus (barrier-free)
Transport of dogs
Dogs can be transported on both chairlifts. The owner must keep the animal safe during the journey. Tickets for dogs correspond to the children's price.
Food & Drink
Enjoy regional and warm hospitality in the "Zum Sessellift" inn at the valley station, in the rustic s'Balzplatzerl at the middle station and in the modern Terzerhaus mountain restaurant right at the summit. In winter, the traditional "zum Bäreneck" inn completes the gastronomic offer.
Chairlift journey times
The journey time from the valley station to the middle station with the 4-seater chairlift "Bodenbauer-Express" is approx. 10 minutes in summer and winter.
The journey time from the middle station to the summit on the "Gipfelbahn" 2-seater chairlift is approx. 15 minutes in summer and approx. 7 minutes in winter.
Panoramic circular walk
The panoramic circular trail , which is suitable for pushchairs, leads around the summit of the Gemeindealpe and has a total length of approx. 800 metres.
Hiking
The Gemeindealpe is the ideal starting point for a variety of hikes. The offer ranges from leisurely strolls to challenging multi-day tours. We have compiled further information for you about hiking on the Gemeindealpe Mitterbach.
Ride with the mountain carts
The mountain cart route from the middle station is 4.6 kilometres long. The journey time is approx. 15 minutes. The mountain cart track is in operation during the summer season.
Offer T-bar lifts in winter
The 2-seater drag lift "Birkischlepper" has an operating length of 673 metres. The journey time is approx. 4 minutes.
The "Grabnerlift" 1-seater T-bar lift has an operating length of 176 metres. The journey time is approx. 1.5 minutes.
Offer slopes in winter
Skiing in Lower Austria on the Gemeindealpe Mitterbach. 15.5 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes await you.
- Black (difficult): 1.5 km - steepest piste in Lower Austria with 74 % gradient
- Red (medium): 7 km
- Blue (easy): 7 km
